Big Brother Season 14/Episode 22 Recap

Britney/Big Brother

Big Brother
Season 14/Episode 22
Airdate 8/30/12
Nominees: Danielle & Britney

This episode opens with the reaction to the shocking veto meeting where Jenn pulls Dan off and Frank puts up Britney.  Shane, Ian and Britney are just still sitting looking like someone ran over their puppy.  Dan takes a minute alone in the arcade room to celebrate and talk directly to the camera about being back.  Ian goes up the HOH where Frank and Jenn are situated and expresses his unhappiness in what just happened.  Ian begins to raise his voice and Frank tells him to leave.

Britney approaches Dan and asks if she’s the target, he tells her to talk to the HOH.  She accuses him of being cold and reminds him that she’s going to be a jury member and that it’s important how you treat people.

Britney heads up to the HOH to talk to Frank and Jenn.  Jenn apologizes to Britney saying she had to keep a bigger target in the game for her benefit.  Frank tells Britney it’s not personal and that it’s purely game and to hurt Ian.  Britney turns on the waterworks and promises to help them out if they keep her.

Frank walks through the living room on the way to the storage room and is verbally attacked by Ian.  Frank tells him he has no sympathy since he was under the impression that people were taking advantage of him while all along he was being sneaky.  As Frank and Ian continue to loudly argue, Dan is sitting in another room relishing in the chaos he just created.

After commercial, Britney is out on the back patio telling everyone that Dan is the one person only looking out for himself.  She then takes her irritation inside the kitchen to take it out on Dan directly.  She asks for him to apologize, but he just continues to make his food.  Shane goes to Joe and discusses his dilemma of voting out his coach or his closest “friend.”  Shane’s got Joe following his lead, and after figuring out the numbers he realizes he has the final decision on who goes.

After a quick segment on past players watching, it’s time for the live eviction. In Britney’s speech she says to Dan, “You’ll always be Judas to me,” referring to what Jerry said to Dan in BB10.  Shane and Joe vote against Britney sealing her fate and sending her to the jury house. In talking to Julie, Britney admits that Dan is “Really, really good at the game,” and admits that the reason she’s now sitting outside the Big Brother house was due to her allegiance to Ian.

The HOH competition is endurance, where contestants are standing on a disk at the bottom of a rope and spin in circles with some cold orange paint spraying on them. They’ve been warned that the first person to fall off has to open the box next to Frank which could contain either a reward or punishment, which America voted on during the episode. Joe falls off first and Jenn second before the credits roll.

Julie reveals that next Thursday will be another double eviction episode. Should be interesting considering who’s won the HOH (I’m not ruining it for you, you’ll have to wait for Sunday or watch Showtime After Dark yourself!).
