Season 14/Episode 24
Airdate 9/5/12
HOH: Ian
Nominees: Frank & Jenn

Ho-ho-holy cow what did I miss?  Took a quick vacation for the holiday and after getting caught up from friends it appears I missed one heck of an episode on Sunday.

We start off Wednesday’s episode with a recap of Ian doing Dan’s dirty work putting up Frank and Jenn, the latter as just a pawn to get Frank off.  Cut to Dan cracking up about how last week he convinced Frank and Jenn to take HIM off the block and now he’s convinced Ian to put THEM on the block.  This man is a smooth talker and in my opinion, has just crowned himself greatest BB player of all time.  Jenn and Frank discuss winning the veto and getting Joe put up to ensure they can both stay.

As if he knew what they were saying, Joe heads upstairs to discuss the possibility of being on the block.  Ian reiterates that due to the promise he made with Shane to get the HOH (in which he won’t put Shane or Danielle up even in the event of the Veto being used) that Joe remains the only option.  Frank and Dan meet in the storage room to discuss scenarios.  They keep cutting to dairy room sessions in which Frank is referring to the final two deal he made with Dan and Dan scoffing at the thought of keeping the deal.  Dan is working his conversation to steer Frank to throwing the veto competition to allow Dan to win it.

Up in the HOH room, Dan asks Ian if he has OCD. Ian admits to having ADHD and opens up about how it feels and how he copes without medication.  It was a very sweet sentimental moment and surely made Ian feel a bit closer to Dan.

In pulling names for the veto competition, Ian picks Dan, Frank picks Danielle and Jenn picks Joe.  Jenn is lying in bed after the player pick feeling down.  Frank gives her a pep talk and ensures her that one of them will come down and they will get Joe up.  Frank and Dan have a chat before the competition and Frank starts speaking of not only throwing the veto to Dan, but to have Dan take Jenn of the block instead of him.  Has he lost his mind?  Side note: in this conversation Frank is wearing his hair back in a bandana…the kid looks half decent without the Carrot Top mop in his face!

For the veto competition, they walk in the backyard to a farm set-up with a UFO that has crashed into a barn.  Players must run and grab corn with answers to riddles.  They need to then run back with their answers and present them to the “alien”.  Last one back to the alien will be eliminated, get the answer wrong you’re eliminated.

First round Danielle is eliminated, second round Ian is eliminated and third round Joe is eliminated leaving just Dan, Frank and Jenn.  Fourth round puts Jenn out and it’s down to Dan and Frank.  Before the final round Frank and Dan have a chat about Frank throwing the competition to him, but Frank isn’t comfortable and decides to try and win it for himself. The final round finds both of them searching for a riddle answer and everyone holding their breath on the sidelines hoping Frank doesn’t win.  Dan isn’t sure if it’s Ashley or Jojo and decides to run with whichever he finds first.  He ends up finding Ashley, the correct answer, and wins the veto.

Immediately following the veto, Dan heads to the HOH to secure a final two deal with Ian.  Now he has a final two deal with Frank, Ian and Danielle.  Dan has a quick conversation with Frank playing out a couple scenarios and then Dan heads upstairs.  He plans on planting the idea of having Dan take Jenn off the block…like it was Ian’s idea in the first place.  Ian goes for the bait and adds in that he’s going to have to act mad about it so they don’t think they are working together.  Frank then approaches Dan and tells him it’s not a good idea at all for him to use the veto on him and that he has to take Jenn down as it looks like a returning the favor to Jenn for taking him down last week.

Dan has a quick talk with Jenn assuring her that he has her back and she should trust him fully, that she will see his loyalty at the veto meeting.  Dan gives a quick speech at the Veto Ceremony to state he is returning a debt and using the veto on Jenn.  Ian gives a not-so-convincing speech about Dan stirring the pot, which he follows with   putting up Joe.

In the end Dan has manipulated the entire house to think that he is working with them, and that he is not responsible for the events of the house for the past two weeks.  Dan has everyone fooled and playing the game how he wants it played…I wonder how long he can keep up this puppeteering?
