“You can’t report to the public unless you see them all.”
– Bill Cunningham
It’s the time of the blogger fashionistas. Street style around the world has come to the everyday girl. With The Sartorialist showing us Milan, Paris, and New York, London as defined by Susie Bubble of Style Bubble along with Queen Marie and Queen Michelle of Kingdom of Style, we have the world of fashion at a click of the mouse. Everything though, starts somewhere and for street style Bill Cunningham is a pioneer.
BILL CUNNINGHAM NEW YORK is the sensitive portrayal of a man who has lived his life in pursuit of documentation. From his first photos of the flower children in the ‘60’s Cunningham has continued to give the world his unique view of color, vibe and flow of trends along the streets of New York. In his early eighties, a wispy white haired man, he flies across the street dogging the hopefuls with the energy of young paparazzi in seek of the perfect shot.
