The third installment of the Variety Studio: Actors on Actors, a series that features “intimate conversations between the top talent from the year’s most notable films,” finished it’s star-packed final episode on January 3.
“Actors on Actors offers viewers an exclusive opportunity to observe candid insights into the artistry and inspiration of onscreen talent at the peak of their craft,” Variety publisher Michelle Sobrino said. “Variety couldn’t be more proud of this Emmy winning show and is grateful to PBS SoCal for the continued partnership.”
The first episode of the season, which premiered December 27, featured Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine and Truth) and Ian McKellen (Mr. Holmes); Will Smith (Concussion) and Benicio Del Toro (Sicario); Michael Keaton (Spotlight) and Samuel L. Jackson (The Hateful Eight); and Brie Larson (Room) and Joel Edgerton (Black Mass).
Episode two, which also premiered December 27, featured Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn) and Kate Winslet (Steve Jobs); Steve Carell (The Big Short) and Rooney Mara (Carol); Bryan Cranston (Trumbo) and Jason Segel (The End of the Tour); and Elizabeth Banks (Love & Mercy) and Carey Mulligan (Suffragette).
The third and final episode, which premiered January 3, starred Amy Schumer (Trainwreck) and Lily Tomlin (Grandma); Charlotte Rampling (45 Years) and Isabella Rossellini (Joy); Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight) and Seth Rogen (Steve Jobs); and Paul Dano (Love & Mercy) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Walk).
