Pink Floyd Dark Side of the BoobFor the first time in two decades, rock legends Pink Floyd will be releasing an album of brand new material. In honor of this event, burlesque impresario Les Spectacles Flambés will present Dark Side of the Boob, a raucous and reverent celebration of Pink Floyd’s twisted genius. The show will take place at Columbia City Theater (4916 Rainier Ave S., Seattle, WA 98118) on November 16, just days after the release of the new album.

More than a simple cabaret, Dark Side uses the art of striptease to shine light on a group that has become synonymous with the laser-light shows, angst, and longevity of rock and roll. The show is presented from the perspective of “Pink,” who guides the audience through a striptease-filled exploration of repression and rebellion, tension and release, to a soundtrack of fan favorites and eclectic B-sides.

Dark Side of the Boob comes right on the heels of Endless River, Pink Floyd’s first new music release since 1994. After a 20-year hiatus, the new record will finally become available on November 10, 2014, according to the group’s official website. What better way to ring in their first new material in of the 21st century than with saucy live art?

The show features some of the most notorious burlesque personalities on the West Coast, including The One The Only Inga (The Atomic Bombshells), Paris Original (Land of the Sweets, Mod Carousel), Heidi Von Haught and Randi Rascal (Moisture Festival). Dark Side will take place at 7:30 p.m. General admission is $25 and a VIP table for four is $130. Find out more information and purchase tickets here: www.brownpapertickets.com/event/885223.
