Dr. Ronni Sanlo will be at Jewish Family Service at 3 p.m. on August 18 to read from her memoir The Purple Golf Cart: The Misadventures of a Lesbian Grandma (2012). Dr. Sanlo will meet with the audience and sign books at the ice cream social following the reading.
Dr. Ronni Sanlo is Director Emeritus of the UCLA Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Center. At UCLA, she also served as Senior Associate Dean of Students and Director of the UCLA Masters of Education in Student Affairs. Before UCLA, Dr. Sanlo was an HIV epidemiologist in Florida. Dr. Sanlo continues to research and write and is the owner of Purple Distinctions Publishing and Retreats. She is spending this summer in Sequim, WA with her partner Kelly.
