Cedar River Clinics has announced the opening of its new downtown location in the Medical Dental Building on August 11. The new clinic will provide abortion care, birth control, well woman care and LGBTQ wellness services.
“We look forward to serving new and existing patients in a beautiful and convenient new location. Our expansion will offer more reproductive service options for women and our LGBTQ community in the Seattle area and North Puget Sound. Without access to local community clinics, the freedom of choice is meaningless,” said new Executive Director Connie Cantrell. Cantrell took the helm of Cedar River Clinics after the retirement of its founder, Beverly Whipple, this spring.
Cedar River Clinics’ presence in Seattle began in April with the acquisition of Aurora Medical Services. The previous owner and provider, Deborah Oyer, MD, has joined the staff of Cedar River Clinics.
“I’m excited to join such a wonderful team of providers. Cedar River Clinics has a long history of providing excellent health care and treating patients with compassion, dignity and respect,” stated Oyer.
