October 1, 2013 will mark one year in the life of Social Outreach Seattle (SOSea). And what a year it has been! When this whole thing began in July of 2012, the founding members struck magic and it’s been a wonderful journey along the road toward equality.
Join your LGBT community brothers and sisters as they celebrate ONE YEAR LATER: The First Annual SOSea Gala, October 1, from 6 – 9 p.m. at Central Cinema (1411 21 Avenue Seattle WA 98122). Look for the Neon Marquee.
SOSea chose the venue based off of the amount of video work they’ve done to get the message across that “We are one community, working together.” They will even debut a few commercials, make some big announcements, and take a look at the highlights from their best moments. Don’t miss it!
Plus, there will be a silent auction, a Capitol Hill icon will be the keynote speaker, there will be a community awards ceremony, and local entertainers Jack Mozie, Chase Silva and Kitty Kitty Bang Bang will sing a few songs.
ONE YEAR LATER is also poised to be SOSea’s biggest fundraiser to date. Ticket prices begin at $25 so if you are on a budget but still would like to show your support, you can! Can’t make it to the event but still want to offer a contribution anyway? Donations are kindly accepted via the non-profit’s organization website: Social Outreach Seattle.
Central Cinema has a full bar and food menu so come and enjoy dinner before (doors 6 p.m., gala 7 p.m.) or during the event.
If you would like to be an event sponsor, donate some items for the silent auction or help in any multitude of ways, please reach out to Shaun Knittel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are only 100 tickets available for this event so do not procrastinate and show your love today!
