Lifelong has partnered with a local brewery for this year’s event
Lifelong’s Dining Out For Life, presented by BECU, returns for its 23rd year on Thursday, April 28. On this day, over 100 restaurants throughout the Seattle metropolitan area will donate 30-50 percent of their proceeds to Lifelong’s food program Chicken Soup Brigade to feed those fighting hunger and illness in the Seattle community.
“Participating in Dining Out For Life is an easy way to give back, whether it’s grabbing a quick lunch with colleagues or sharing a hearty dinner with loved ones,” states Sage Fitzpatrick, Lifelong’s Director of Development. “We are thrilled with the outpouring of support from the community every year. Huge shout out to our Golden Fork restaurants, who are donating 50 percent of their day’s proceeds, including Baja Bistro, Fogon Cocina Mexicana, Hallava Falafel, Hudson, McMenamins Queen Anne, McMenamins Six Arms, and NICHE Gluten Free Café & Bakery.”
During the day-long fundraiser, restaurant patrons have a chance to win two domestic round trip tickets courtesy of Delta Airlines. Lifelong is also encouraging patrons to tweet photos of themselves using the hashtags #DOFLSeattle and #IGiveAFork.
For the first time, Lifelong has partnered with a local brewery for this year’s event. Two Beers Brewing Company is bringing the Seattle community the Lifelong Lager, a crisp, flavorful, Munich Helles Lager and with every keg sold, Lifelong will receive a $50 donation. The Lifelong Lager will be tapped at various participating restaurants and will continue to be available throughout Western Washington until the end of May.
Dining Out For Life is sponsored by BECU, The Stranger, C89.5, Delta Airlines, Intersection, and the GSBA.
