Twenty one years later, A League of Their Own’s Geena Davis is still rocking her 1940s baseball dress from the movie.
According to Us Magazine, 57-year-old Davis was seen August 2 sporting her old character, Dottie Hinson’s Rockford Peaches Uniform, but instead of a baseball bat she had a bow and pack of arrows.
When A League of Their Own was released, Davis was shocked it was so loved.
“I certainly hoped people would like it and that it would be successful, but the success we had at the box office was a really big deal back then,” she said. “Even today, lots of 15-year-old girls will tell me, ‘I play sports because of that movie.’ It’s fantastic.”
Davis played an incredible female baseball player on the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League during World War II even though in real life, she had no idea how to play.
“I was supposed to play the best baseball player anyone has ever seen, but I didn’t know how to play baseball at all – or any other sport really!” Davis said.
She may not be able to play baseball, but she is a seasoned archer. According to reports, Davis pulled out the uniform and arrow to film a commercial – so keep your eyes peeled for its debut.
