Gilda’s Club Seattle will present its 15th Annual “Surviving with Style” Fashion Show & Luncheon at The Westin Seattle (1900 5th Ave, Seattle, WA 98101) Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 11:30am – 1:30pm. On the docket: celebrity guest and cancer survivor Cynthia Nixon.
Nixon won an Emmy Award for her role as Miranda Hobbes in HBO’s smash series Sex and the City. The out 46-year-old actress recently starred in “Wit” – a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Margaret Edson.

Clad in a hospital gown, Tony winner Cynthia Nixon veers between telling Vivian’s story directly to the audience and participating in a series of fast-paced scenes with hospital personnel, students and the professor who inspired her passion for poetry.
Nixon shares her life with new wife Christine Marinoni, 45, and their son Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni, born February 2011. Nixon and Marinoni’s wedding engagement lasted three years and the couple legally wed in New York on May 27, 2012. Nixon was previously linked to teacher Danny Mozes and they share custody of Samantha, 15, and Charles, 9.
All models at the 15th Annual “Surviving with Style” Fashion Show & Luncheon are cancer survivors and their stories will be told by the hosts. The models will be outfitted in clothing designed by noted Seattle fashion designers.
