Each of the six contestants at the Night 9 round of the 6th Annual Seattle Pride Idol had two chances to impress the judges and sing their way into the final round on Thursday night.
And sing they did, but only one could win the night at the competition, held at Outwest Bar in West Seattle and sponsored by T-Mobile. Hosts Olivia LaGarce and Isabella Extynn St James joined judges Xanna Don’t, Jack Mozie, Ryan Crawford and Victor Cruz to determine Seattle’s next Pride Idol.
Jessica Swenson won the night, singing “Hometown Glory” and “Weak.” She will sing again in the Pride Idol Finals on June 8 at Neighbours Nightclub. Dusty Rose placed second with “I Believe I Can Fly” and an acapella version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Rose will perform in the Wildcard Round on June 1 at Neighbours Nightclub. Justin Arreola place third, with acapella versions of “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay” and “Stay.”
