The 5th annual Pride Idol competition, hosted by Robbie Turner and Mama Tits, is up and running!

Pride Idol will be hosted at Neighbours on Capitol Hill, every Sunday night at 8 p.m., now until Sunday May 12. The Pride Idol Finale takes place on Sunday June 9. Each week, the winner will move to the final round and the runner-up will be entered into the Wild Card elimination round, which will take place on Sunday June 2. Six finalists and four runner-ups will face off to determine who will be this year’s Pride Idol, and the winner of a $3000 prize package.

A panel of four judges will rate the contestants based on their Overall Performance, Vocal Ability, Stage Presence, and Congeniality. Registration starts at 6:30 p.m. with Community Karaoke and ends at 7:30 p.m. There is a two-song performance requirement and a $20 registration fee. Contestants can bring their own musical accompaniment if they so choose.

Pride Idol Schedule

Please check out the official registration and rules page for more information. New contestants may be added each week and for each night of performance. There will be a musical theme should you wish to sing a song in that style.

Choose from over 10,000 songs (covering the 1950s through today) from Seattle’s Best Karaoke song list. Complete song list by title and artist can be found here: Song by Artist or Song by Title.

Contestants may also bring their own music on CD. Audio track must be instrumental without lead vocals. All accompanying tracks not selected from Seattle’s Best Karaoke music library must be submitted on CD at least 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the day’s contest.
