According to the Las Vegas Sun, the city’s convention and visitors bureau is having discussions regarding expanding services to the same-sex travel and leisure market. Could it be a match made in heaven?

With an average of 114,000 weddings taking place in Las Vegas per year, the City of Sin is the number one wedding destination and ties with Hawaii for honeymoons.

Gay marriage is currently illegal in the state of Nevada. In 2002, the state approved a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage and, in 2009, lawmakers overrode Republican Governor Jim Gibbons’ veto to approve a domestic partnership law.
