While celebrating in Cabo for her bachelorette party, Lauren Conrad tweeted about a restaurant that wouldn’t allow a same-sex couple play a game during their Thursday game night.
“The Office in Cabo does not allow same sex couples to participate in couple games,” she tweeted. “Had to walk out. #equality #StopTheHate.”
Her best friend Lo Bosworth joined in.
“If you support #equalityforall don’t eat at The Office in Cabo San Lucas,” she tweeted.
According to manager Carmen Alucano, the emcee made a “joke” about the two women attempting to play the game, which included squeezing against each other to pop balloons.
“We’d like to make a public apology,” Alucano said. “Obviously [the emcee, from an outside company] didn’t mean it to be offensive. It’s a huge misunderstanding. We have an emcee that comes in on Thursday nights, and we invite all diners to participate in the game. We don’t care what sexuality [they are]. The only thing we don’t allow in the restaurant is smoking. That’s the only rule we have.”
