Almost a year after her latest rehab stint, the actress and singer has decided to move her talents on to a stage.
Lohan told the New York Times at the Jeremy Scott fashion show that she will be taking over the role of Karen in the West End production of Speed-the-Plow.
“It’s the first time I’ve done a stage play or anything like that,” she said. Her role, Karen, was originally played by Madonna in the 1988 Broadway production. “I’m nervous, but excited.”
The original production of Speed-the-Plow, which won two Tony Awards, featured an attractive assistant to a big-time movie studio executive who accepts a bet from his associate that he could get his assistant to sleep with him.
Both Alicia Silverstone and Elizabeth Moss have portrayed Karen in productions in the past.
