Orange is the New Black is adding a new inmate to season three.
Australian model, actress, activist, and DJ Ruby Rose will play the “lust object,” Stella Carlin, of both Piper (Taylor Schilling) and Alex (Laura Prepon).
Rose came out as a lesbian at age 12. She was previously linked to models Lyndsey Anne McMillan and Catherine McNeil and is currently engaged to Roald Dahl’s granddaughter, Phoebe Dahl.
The Daily Mail reports: “Twenty-five-year-old Phoebe’s label Faircloth is a charity minded brand, donating one school uniform to a girl in Nepal for every dress it sells. Her mother Lucy is known for writing Wild Child, staring Emma Roberts, and cousin Sophie Dahl was a prominent model in the 1990s and 2000s.”
Last July, Rose wrote, produced and starred in a short film called Break Free, which she said was autobiographical.
“Whether straight, gay, bi, trans…body image and identity can be a struggle for us all,” she said in July. “I am very gender-fluid and feel more like I wake up every day sort of gender neutral.”
Orange is the New Black returns to Netflix this summer.
