Apparently, Blaine (Darren Criss) decides to propose to his on-again/off-again boyfriend Kurt (Chris Colfer). At the ring store, Blaine meets the jeweler, Duke’s character. The two speak about their different relationships and Duke offers to become a mentor for the young couple. She talks to them about how the LGBT community was when she was younger and how lucky kids are now.

The inspiration for this episode came from the recent hype with the Supreme Court talk of gay marriage.

The season 4 finale of Glee airs Thursday May 9.
