Rosie O’Donnell became a mother for the fifth time on Tuesday.
The former “Queen of Nice” tweeted a picture of herself and wife Michelle Rounds with the newest addition to the family, daughter Dakota. With the picture, O’Donnell wrote:
“we r thrilled to announce the arrival of r daughter Dakota – #withloveandthanks – AMEN.”
Additional tweets from the new mom (again) have been posted since the birth announcement and can be read here.
According to US Weekly, Rounds was trying to get pregnant last January. Since then, she was diagnosed with desmoids tumors, a rare type of abnormal growth of tumors. The two women, who got engaged in December 2011 with plans to marry in August, moved their wedding up two months due to Rounds’ first surgery. Soon after their marriage, O’Donnell suffered a heart attack.
Now the two are “happy and healthy” according to O’Donnell’s publicist.
Dakota is Rounds’ first child. O’Donnell has four other kids from her decade-long marriage to ex-wife Kelli Carpenter: Parker, 17, Chelsea, 15, Blake, 13, and Vivienne, 10.
