Comedian Rosie O’Donnell issued a plea to find her missing 17-year-old daughter on Tuesday, August 18. The New York-based philanthropist and former talk show host wrote a chilling message to her fans via her blog on Rosie.com.
Titled, “Chelsea O’Donnell Missing,” the post read:
Rosie O’Donnell’s 17 year old daughter, Chelsea O’Donnell was reported missing. Nyack, New York police authorities have been looking for her in the Rockland County area since Sunday, August 16. She was last seen Tuesday, August 11. She was wearing a black sweatshirt hoodie, dark ripped blue jeans, women’s grey converse sneakers and a black backpack. Chelsea has a large tattoo on her right side of a dream catcher with the word ‘Breathe.’ She left home with her 6 month old therapy dog named Bear. The dog is a 9 lbs brown and black terrier. Chelsea stopped taking her medicine and is in need of medical attention. Any information please contact authorities at 845-358-0206 or 911.

“Chelsea, like millions of people, lives with mental illness,” family spokeswoman Cindi Berger said. “It has been a difficult road for Chelsea and her family, and they just want her back safe.”
As of 11:54 a.m. Tuesday, there were 675 responses to the blog post. One reader named Tami wrote, “Chelsea and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May she return safe and sound soon. I hope my mom (my guardian angel) will go and watch over her until she is found.” Another supporter said, “I pray she is found safe. I know her medical issue is concerning. My granddaughter has had mental disease since age 11. She has tried taking her life many times. God has protected her.”
CNN reported: “She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark ripped blue jeans, gray Converse sneakers and a black backpack. She has no phone and no money, according to Berger.”
