Tentwood’s traveling barn is available for weddings and events beginning spring 2018

Seattle-based start-up Tentwood Events introduces an original concept to the field of wedding and event venues – a beautiful, authentic pop-up barn. As a portable, traveling venue for events, Tentwood is full service. Customers provide their location of choice and the Tentwood crew will deliver, setup, and takedown the 1,000 square foot barn. Currently serving Washington State exclusively, Tentwood is accepting bookings as soon as Spring 2018 – inquiries can be made via Tentwood.com.

Inspired both by the process of planning her own wedding, as well as her background in the performing arts, founder Kelsey Von Stubbe was interested in expanding upon the classic event venue offerings. “When I was planning my wedding, I was looking for something other than the standard white party tent to put up in the beautiful landscape of Yakima, Washington,” Von Stubbe comments. “There was nothing else out there! Pairing that with my experience working at Seattle’s resident circus Teatro ZinZanni – which performs in a beautiful, antique spiegelent specifically designed to be taken on the road – I set out to see what was possible. Through extensive research and collaboration, not only did we find that it is was possible to custom engineer an authentic-looking barn, but in a way that no one else has done.”

Tentwood’s pop-up barn was locally engineered and manufactured with an aluminum frame, wooden wall panels, and aged steel roofing to create a realistic, rustic looking barn. The traveling venue features 1,000 square feet of space, 14-foot tall ceilings, and the ability to either seat 100 people or host up to 120 people at a standing-style event, such as a concert. The barn does not have traditional flooring, and Tentwood provides the option to rent additional event supplies such as a dance floor, a bar, tables and chairs, a wedding arch – much of which is also custom built to keep in theme with the country atmosphere of the venue. The barn can be set up and taken down in one day, respectively, by Tentwood’s professional production crew, versed in high level stage and concert assembly, and committed to safety.
