Promotions include free tickets for kids, free t-shirts for the first 3,000 fans
WNBA fans are invited to celebrate Mother’s Day with the entire family at the Seattle Storm game vs. Indiana on May 14. Up to four kids get in free to Opening Night presented by Swedish with the purchase of at least one adult ticket in the General Admission Family Zone.
“We are thrilled to introduce a new General Admission Family Zone, opening this season on Mother’s Day is a special chance to celebrate moms and families,” said Storm President & GM Alisha Valavanis. “With free tickets for kids, Opening Night presented by Swedish is an affordable, fun way to tip off the 2017 season.”
In celebration of the new General Admission Family Zone, kids will be encouraged to cheer as loud as they can and will be invited to run on the court during the Doppler Train. Prior to tipoff, the entire family can enjoy the Summer Fun Zone on the West Plaza, complete with face painting, bounce houses, music, and more.
The first 3,000 fans to enter KeyArena on Mother’s Day will receive a free Storm T-shirt; doors open at 3 p.m. Fans can visit StormBasketball.com to claim the free kids tickets.
The General Admission Family Zone seating is on the south baseline and will be available most Storm games this season.
2017 marked Seattle’s 11th playoff appearance in franchise history, led by 2016 WNBA Rookie of the Year Breanna Stewart, who boasted team-high honors with 18.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. The Storm also returns 2016 All-WNBA First Team selection Sue Bird and 2016 All-WNBA Second Team honoree Jewell Loyd. To cap last season, the Storm won five of its last six regular season games on the way to earning the No. 7 seed in the WNBA Playoffs, and the team will look to carry over that momentum to 2017.
