The registrants at Night 3 of Seattle Pride Idol had two chances to impress the judges — all of them succeeded and left them a very difficult decision at Neighbours Nightclub Sunday night.
Host Olivia LaGarce and co-host DonnaTella Howe were looking their Easter best, bringing the audience a fun and just a little bit crazy show. Together they effortlessly wrangled the judges, including our resident “Paula,” judge Ryan Crawford, who was accompanied by Jack Mozie, Xanna Don’t and Michael Allen at the judge’s table.
After each performer sang twice, Sherry Eberhardt’s renditions of “Oh Baby Baby” and “Lady Marmalade” wowed the judges and moved her on to the Seattle Pride Idol finale on June 8 at Neighbours Nightclub.
Chris Hoffman’s versions of “Your Song” and “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” brought him into second place and the chance to compete in the Wildcard Round on June 1.
Tim Marshall took third, performing “I’d Rather Go Blind” and “You Know I’m No Good.” Marshall can sing again a different night for another chance at the finals.
Seattle Pride Idol, presented by T-Mobile, is held Sundays at 8 p.m. at Neighbours Nightclub on Capitol Hill. Additional competitions are scheduled at Out West Bar in West Seattle, The Lobby Bar and Baltic Room. Complete event information, including scheduling, video of Eberhardt and Hoffman’s performances and highlights from the entire evening, is available at www.seattlepride.org.
