The Season 41 opener of Saturday Night Live with host Miley Cyrus and special guest Hillary Clinton did not disappoint. In fact, it overachieved. Starting with an opening number paying tribute to the summer of 2015 and everything that made it so darn special, namely Kim Davis’ Christian Pope-hugging moment, Rachel Dolezal, the Dentist who killed Cecil the Lion, Subway’s Jared Fogle, and other hot messes.
Donald Trump couldn’t outrun the SNL 41 fodder.
The skit “Abilify for Candidates” was so eerily realistic we wondered if we were watching the Republican Primary all over again.
But perhaps the most notable skit of the night occurred when Kate McKinnon (channeling Hillary Clinton) confides in bartender Val (played by the real Hillary Clinton) her concerns about the 2016 presidential election.
Saturday Night Live has booked Trainwreck guest host Amy Schumer for next week. Can it Trump this one?
