In a back-and-forth game that featured six lead changes and 12 ties, the Storm beat the San Antonio Silver Stars 91-86 on Friday night at the AT&T Center.
Camille Little had a double-double, leading the way for the Storm with 23 points and 10 rebounds. She also added three steals. Tina Thompson chipped in 21 points. The rest of the starters for Seattle, Temeka Johnson, Noelle Quinn and Tanisha Wright, scored 12 points.
The Silver Stars were paced by Jia Perkins with 21 points, Danielle Robinson with 20 and Shameka Christon with 19.
Temeka Johnson scored her 2,000th point in the third quarter, becoming the fourth Storm player to hit that milestone. Wright passed it just two games ago in Atlanta, and they join Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson.
The Storm jumped out to an early 15-4 lead, but allowed the Silver Stars to get back in it. The Storm and Silver Stars kept pace with each other from field, shooting 46.7 percent and 42.4 percent respectively, with the Storm taking a two-point lead into the half, 39-37.
With two minutes left in the game, the Silver Stars cut the lead to 84-80 with a Robinson three-point play. Seattle shot 92 percent from the free throw line, and nailed five down the stretch to win.
