The Woodmark Hotel isn’t just a hotel. It is a resort-like paradise and getaway from Seattle, Bellevue and Redmond, which are only a few miles away.  Set steps away from beautiful Lake Washington, choose a glorious waterfront room, or a room with a view of Carillon Point’s Marina.  Guests of Woodmark Hotel are also invited to participate in the Woodmark Yacht Club seasonal activities.  Consider a tour of Lake Washington aboard The Woodmark ll, which is their own 28-foot Chris-Craft Sedan Express.  Talk about a unique experience!  Perhaps take advantage of The Woodmark’s kayaks and paddle around Lake Washington on your own.  Never been kayaking? This is a perfect place for beginners to have a first time kayaking experience, and it’s all waiting for you to enjoy!

The Woodmark Hotel is extremely pet friendly, a wonderful bonus for families that wish to bring their furry-pawed members.  Woody, the personal canine greeter, welcomes you and the entire family at the front desk.  Woody is a beautiful and very sweet labradoodle who will make you and your pet feel right at home.  The Woodmark Hotel graciously provides a generously sized, comfy doggie bed, bowls, treats, and bottled water.  Particularly fun is the stuffed animal toy in Woody’s likeness, which your pooch can use as a companion or a toy to carry around.  The front desk staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. They will accommodate your needs with their kindness and professionalism.

As mentioned earlier, the views from the guest rooms are most spectacular.  The Lakefront rooms offer views with a ship-like quality.  Each room includes luxury bedding, including down pillows, feather beds and cashmere throws. Bathrooms are gorgeous and are decorated with imported limestone.  The soaking tub has a soothing rain shower and the amenities include a luxurious selection of Molten Brown products.  The oversized towels are kitten soft and the bathrobes fabulously comfortable.

Complimentary wired high speed internet or Wi-Fi and a desktop computer docking station in the rooms are of great convenience.  The 32” LCD Flat Panel TV and on demand movies is fabulous, everything at the touch of a button.  Travel vicariously to foreign places on the window channel, which includes far away places such as China, Iceland and the Bahamas.  A very unique asset in the rooms is the added fixings for a make-your-own Martini Bar!  Such a treasure!  Make a nightcap or invite guests to your room and avoid the crowds if you’re feeling like a more intimate setting suits you.

Another unique program is the complimentary “Raid the Pantry” privileges for access to late night snacks including sandwiches, soups, chips, scrumptious desserts, and juices.  Of course in your guest room, you will have a mini bar with all sorts of drinks and goodies that will be hard for you to resist.  If you really want to pamper yourself, stay in the 1,450 sq. ft. premier Woodmark Suite which has two balconies, a parlor with a fireplace, large dining room, wet bar, powder room, and a complete entertainment center.  There are windows all the way around this suite, so as you walk through, you really will feel like you are on a ship since all the views from the windows are of water.  Absolutely an amazing suite!

The Northwest Face Spa at the Woodmark is beyond fantastic.  Save time to try the complimentary service named Visia & Reveal A Digital Skin Analysis – it is quite impressive.  They also have every skin treatment imaginable.  Also be sure to try their most luxurious manicures and pedicures, of which there are many to choose from.  A favorite is the Spa Ritual Handmade Organic Body Wrap, with your choice of Cucumber Mint, Coconut or several other exotic fragrances. Nancy, one of the many skilled therapists at the Spa, has magical hands.  Combining organic sugar scrubs, exotic butter and oil to polish and repair the skin, and giving a soothing scalp massage are her specialties.  It is fun to select different sugars, such as Cucumber Mint, Coconut, Watermelon, and many more.  By the time you leave here, you will feel totally detoxified and relaxed.  Of course every therapist at the Spa is fabulous, the best of the best.  Don’t forget to get a massage if you would like.  There are many types to choose from such as Swedish, Hot Stone, Pregnancy, etc., not to mention the calm and quiet environment of the Spa immediately puts you at ease.

Once you’ve detoxified and are completely relaxed and rejuvenated you will no doubt be famished. The Woodmark Hotel also has a destination restaurant: Bin on the Lake.  Views of Lake Washington are just the beginning at this fabulous and unique restaurant. The lakefront setting is beautiful in all seasons. Bin features over 80 wines by the glass, and takes pride in having experts available to assist you with pairing wine to your selected entrée.  The menu consists of local and seasonal items expertly prepared.  It would be difficult to find better food or enough words to praise the quality and taste of the food at Bin on the Lake. If you want exquisite food, great wine and an amazing view, Bin on the Lake is the place for you to visit!  Happy Hour is even served twice daily.

Chef R. Paul Hyman truly is a gem!  He personally visits local farms to assure he is getting only the best locally sourced farm-to-table cooking possible. Chef Paul goes above and beyond making sure you will have exactly what you desire.  Chef Paul uses traditional culinary techniques and simple French/Italian-influenced cuisine.  Everything on your plate is perfectly cooked and the presentation is lovely and colorful.  Chef Paul Hyman does magic with food.  There are many appetizers to choose from such as Dungeness Crab Cake, paired with Domaine Thomas, Sancerre, “La Crele”, and Loire Valley, FR.  You may also chose the Smoked Porchetta & Wild Rice Soup paired with Rombauer Vinyards, Chardonnay Carneros, CA and many more.

As for dinner entrees, there are many to choose from such as Hawaiian Ahi Tuna paired with some fabulous Rombauer Vinyards, Chardonnaym, Carneros, CA., or the Martinez Ranch Lamb Shank paired with M.Chapoutier, Petite Ruche, Crozes-Hermitage, FR.  Look at the menu at Bin on the Lake and you will see nothing but fabulous choices for a delicious dinner and paired wines.

After dinner, there are many decadent desserts to choose from! Dark Chocolate “Budino” Pudding Cake saturated with Mascarpone, Candied Orange, and Citrus Olive Oil Sea Salt or have the Warm Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp with Toasted Hazelnut Fennel Seed Crumble, Buttermilk Ice Cream and mint.  Another favorite: Brown Butter Cherry Bread Pudding with Cherry Ice Cream, Wild Flower Honey, Sweet Crème, and Cinnamon.  These are some of the best deserts anywhere!

Upon rising the next morning, if you are still hungry, you must visit the Beach Café, which is a lovely casual eatery, also with lakefront views.  The food here is also excellent, and served with a smile.  They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner and of course Happy Hour.  The Eggs Benedict is pretty spectacular.

After a meal, take a quick stroll along the waterfront and enjoy the wildlife. You’ll see a variety of birds and you will be certain to run into a few furry friends out for a stroll before heading back to your cozy retreat.

Woodmark Hotel really does make a spectacular getaway for anyone, near or far.  Whether you live in Seattle and are looking for a quick getaway, or coming from a distance, the Wookmark Hotel does not disappoint.
