Three-year-old Caiden Henson wanted to wear a Disney princess dress for Halloween, so his parents got him one.
His father, Paul Henson, posted a photo of the toddler wearing the Elsa dress on Facebook and it went viral.
“As children get older, they distance themselves from their parents,” he told Huffington Post. “It’s important for children to know that their parents will stand by them no matter what. Ashley [his wife] and I will do whatever it takes to keep our son happy and not take his innocence and imagination from him.”
His wife agreed.
“I want other parents to realize that gender stereotypes are taught and learned behaviors,” Ashley Ramage said. “At three years old, kids are still developing, exploring and discovering. As parents, we shouldn’t discourage their individuality.”
Apparently, Caiden wants his dad to be a princess as well.
“He wants to be Elsa,” he said. “He also wants me to be Anna. Game on.”
