An Atlanta-based social organization is tapping multicultural women and non-binary individuals in the LBGTQ+ community nationwide for destination travel. The Weekend Soiree is hosting its inaugural four-day celebration and getaway Sept. 13-16, 2018, for professional, lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender and queer, multicultural women to recess in Denver, Colorado.
Participants can sign up for more information and purchase tickets online at theweekendsoiree.com.
The Weekend Soiree founders, Imani Grant and Mary Fuller, established the The Weekend Soiree to satisfy the need for more expansive and diverse events for this community. The annual events are for wicked and wondrous individuals (and couples) who want more than a weekend of just partying.
“This event is perfect if people are single or coupled, femme or masculine identified (and everything in between), low key or ‘turnt’ up. If you like to travel, that’s a plus,” Grant said. “Denver was selected this year because it is easy to get to from the Midwest, East and West coasts, has an array of indoor and outdoor activities, and has limited distractions.”
The founders sum up the event as “Whiskey and Wine, Workshops and Workouts, Wandering Days and Wicked Nights!”
This year’s theme is Rocky Mountain Rollout.
Special guests include physical trainer Carter the Body, Kia Comedy, The Muses, Liliana Cervantes, EstroHaze, and DJ Tatiana.
This year’s hometown host is The Lesbian Socialite, Robyn Vie-Carpenter.
