World Affairs Council Hosts Pakistani Activists

5218415762_1e560f2513_nThrough their International Visitors Program, the World Affairs Council will host a group of activists and social media experts from Pakistan. The participants are leaders, communications experts, bloggers, and social media managers for various organizations in Pakistan and are working to engage youth in leadership, anti-extremism, community development, and social and political issues.

Community members are encouraged to join the World Affairs Council at the Mayflower Park Hotel on Thursday, April 10, 2014, for a conversation with this unique delegation and to learn more about the impact of social media in the 21st century.

The mission of the World Affairs Council is to promote dialogue and debate about international issues of critical importance to our region and world. Since 1951, the Council’s purpose has been to promote greater understanding of global affairs in the Puget Sound community through a balance of public events, educational activities and the International Visitor Program.
