Idina Menzel and Carly Rae Jepson Headline WeHo Pride Music Fest

WeHo Pride presents a free outdoor concert, “Friday Night at OUTLOUD Music Festival,” taking place June 2 at West Hollywood Park kicking off OUTLOUD’s three-day queer music festival.

Featuring an incredible music lineup with headliners Idina Menzel, Jessie Ware, Shangela, and Tinashe and additional performances by JORDY, Tolliver, and DJ Venessa Michaels, Friday evening’s OUTLOUD experience adds to an already stellar weekend lineup of music with Saturday and Sunday headliners Grace Jones and Carly Rae Jepsen.

WeHo Pride Presents ‘Friday Night at OUTLOUD’ is free to the public and requires an RSVP to secure complimentary tickets, as event capacity is limited. OUTLOUD Weekend and WeHo Pride Pass holders will be guaranteed access to the Friday event. To RSVP for Friday’s event or to purchase festival access, visit: weareoutloud.com.

“I’m overjoyed that as a Council, we prioritized providing Free Friday Entry tickets for OUTLOUD on WeHo Pride Weekend. Pride starts right here in West Hollywood and we’re incredibly excited about the Friday night lineup for the OUTLOUD Music Festival at WeHo Pride,” said City of West Hollywood Mayor Sepi Shyne.

Shyne added, “Along with Saturday and Sunday’s OUTLOUD Music Festival, the City is proud to present an incredibly diverse range of free programming during WeHo Pride Weekend including the Dyke March, Street Festival, Women’s Freedom Festival, and of course the WeHo Pride Parade! Not to mention 40 days of LGBTQ Arts Festival programming. WeHo Pride will be brimming with community, activism, music, diversity, and inclusion – some of the very things that make the City of West Hollywood so great!”

Friday Night at OUTLOUD Music Festival activities begin at 6 p.m. The evening launches WeHo Pride Weekend programming, all of which are free to attend and guests of all ages are welcomed. The WeHo Pride Street Fair will take place on Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4 starting at 12 p.m. featuring live entertainment and activities, as well as sponsor and community organization booths.

Saturday’s events include the annual Dyke March as well as the Women’s Freedom Festival at the WeHo Pride Community Stage. The weekend celebration continues with the WeHo Pride Parade on Sunday, June 4. WeHo Pride Weekend follows the kick-off of the 40-Day WeHo Pride Arts Festival, which starts on May 22, Harvey Milk Day, and continues through June 30. For information about WeHo Pride events and programming, visit: www.wehopride.com.

OUTLOUD @ WeHo Pride continues on Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4. The two-day music festival and concert experience features top talent with headliners Grace Jones on Saturday and Carly Rae Jepsen on Sunday and requires a ticket purchase to attend. The full weekend lineup also includes performances by Passion Pit, Orville Peck, Santigold, Princess Nokia, Yung Bae, La Roux, Meet Me @ The Altar, Jodie Harsh, Rubio, Cub Sport and Black Belt Eagle Scout, with more to be announced.

“The community feedback from this year’s OUTLOUD lineup has been extremely positive and supportive, so much so that we sold out of our Tier 1 passes within hours of announcing,” said JJLA Founder and Producer, Jeff Consoletti. “I think that it’s a real testament to what we have created with OUTLOUD, a queer music festival experience with its Friday night lineup that will build on a well-rounded three-day festival program, offering something for everyone.”.

OUTLOUD offers pass types across four tiers, including Single day, Weekend and WeHo Pride passes. Skip the lines at the Festival and at local participating bars with the WeHo Pride Pass. Prices will increase based on event capacity and timing.

Created and produced by JJLA, OUTLOUD Music Festival was launched in 2020 as a virtual concert series, highlighting and elevating Queer artists and performers while many Pride celebrations were being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, OUTLOUD Music Festival partnered with Pride Live’s Stonewall Day and Adam Lambert to deliver a three-day, in-person concert series in Los Angeles, marking the return of live events to the city after the pandemic shutdown. Performers included Sofi Tukker, VINCINT, Brooke Eden, Daya, Hayley Kiyoko, and more, plus an in-person appearance from Los Angeles’ Mayor Eric Garcetti. The event, which won a 2021 BizBash Event Experience Award for Best Cultural/Multicultural Event (Live Events & Experiences), was simultaneously streamed on Twitch, garnering 4.8 million views and providing the artists and queer charities highlighted throughout the weekend a unique and critical global platform.

JJLA remains committed to its nonprofit and community partners. As such, tickets will be available for those organizations whose members need assistance in purchasing tickets for Saturday and Sunday shows.
