Female Skydivers to Honor Megan Rapinoe’s Jersey Retirement

The Highlight Pro Skydiving Team, an elite all-female group of skydivers, will fly into Lumen Field for the Seattle Reign vs. North Carolina Courage match on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024.

This match is dedicated to retiring club legend Megan Rapinoe’s iconic number 15 jersey. Both the Highlight team and Rapinoe have dedicated themselves to using their sports as a platform to promote causes that matter most.

Highlight, composed of 13 women with an average of 20 years in the sport and 200,000 jumps among them, jumps across America to elevate women’s rights and equality while introducing more women to skydiving, as females represent 14 percent of skydivers.

“I have lived so much life in this jersey and I’m humbled to see it retire alongside me. It represents so much more than myself – a team, a city, and a lifetime of memories,” said Rapinoe. “Thank you to the Reign and to my teammates for the love, the support and the opportunity to leave a piece of my heart on the field.”

Rapinoe, one of three players to wear the crest from the club’s inaugural season in 2013 through the 2023 season, becomes the first player in Reign history to have their jersey number retired.

Fans can secure tickets to see Megan Rapinoe’s jersey retirement celebration in person now! There are a variety of ticket options available, including premium and group tickets, in addition to single tickets, Flex Plans and Season Ticket Memberships.
