Seattle Pride Seeks New Board Members

Seattle Pride, the organization behind the city’s renowned annual Pride events and year-round LGBTQIA+ advocacy, announced an open call for new board member applicants. As the organization continues to grow and expand its impact, Seattle Pride seeks dedicated, passionate, and diverse individuals to join its board of directors.

Serving on the Seattle Pride board offers a unique opportunity to influence the direction of one of the largest and most impactful LGBTQIA+ organizations in the Pacific Northwest. Board members play a crucial role in strategic planning, governance, and fundraising, ensuring Seattle Pride remains at the forefront of advocating for equality, inclusion, and social justice.

Seattle Pride is looking for individuals who are committed to advancing the rights and well-being of the LGBTQIA+ community; have experience in nonprofit governance, fundraising, community organizing, or related fields; demonstrate strong leadership and collaborative skills; represent the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies; and are willing to commit time and energy to attend board meetings, participate in committees, and support Seattle Pride events and initiatives.

Board members are selected based on a wide array of professional and lived experience from fundraising and program development to activism and strategic planning.

“Seattle Pride board members are the cornerstone of our organization’s success and impact,” said Seattle Pride Executive Director Patti Hearn. “Their dedication, leadership, and diverse perspectives ensure that we can effectively advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, create inclusive events, and drive meaningful change throughout the Pacific Northwest.”

Heard added, “We are excited to welcome new board members who are passionate about our mission and ready to contribute to our ongoing efforts to promote equality, inclusivity, and social justice.”
